The AI produces the chapters, the slides, the script for each slide, the interaction questions, the quizzes and the polls. You review, edit whatever you want and publish.

Yes, completely. Every slide, script and question is edited exactly as in a module built by hand. The “Edit with AI” button rewrites a slide from a single instruction. You can also mix both approaches: generate one chapter, write another yourself.

No technical skills are required. If you can make a PowerPoint, you can use Complement. The tool was designed so that any trainer, HR professional or teacher can create a complete module independently, without going through an instructional designer or external supplier. With AI generation, there is not even an authoring tool to learn: describe, review, publish.

By default, the avatar uses the content of your training (slides + texts) and can draw on its general knowledge. By enabling RAG mode (Retrieval Augmented Generation), you constrain the avatar to answer only from your sources (added PDFs and web pages) — guaranteeing verified answers with zero hallucination. Ideal for compliance or technical training.

Complement works very differently from traditional authoring tools: the avatar retains context across slides and remembers the full exchange history with the learner. The SCORM standard, where each slide is independent, is incompatible with this architecture. Complement uses the LTI 1.3 standard instead, which provides full LMS integration with automatic transfer of progress data.

With AI generation, a module of one hour of training is produced in minutes; reviewing and adjusting it usually takes less than an hour. Building it manually, count a few minutes per slide: importing the PDF, writing or dictating the texts, creating the quizzes and publishing. For comparison, traditional authoring tools (Storyline, Rise 360) require 50 to 100 hours for the same result.

Time is counted only when the learner is actively interacting with the avatar (video call interface). Excluded are: avatar pauses, quiz answer wait times, and inactive background tabs. This model ensures you only pay for real, engaged learning time.

Complement is an active training solution: the avatar delivers a structured pedagogical progression (slides + chapters), challenges the learner with oral quizzes, assesses their knowledge and ensures their understanding — exactly like a human trainer in a one-to-one session. Yes, at any time. This is one of the major advantages of Complement over video: editing a text, adding a slide or updating a quiz takes a few minutes, without redoing a full production. The analytics dashboard also shows you the most frequently asked questions and poorly understood concepts, guiding your continuous improvements.

Compleducation SAS is a French company, hosted in Europe. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and at rest. Exchanges between learners and avatars are confidential and belong to your organisation. Complement is fully GDPR compliant. A DPA (Data Processing Agreement) is available on request for businesses.
