Which file formats are accepted?
Slides, AI generation, videos, resources, quizzes, learner import, logo, support: the accepted formats for each use, in one table.

Every place in Complement that takes a file has its own list of formats. This table brings them together. JPG and JPEG are the same format.

If a file is rejected#
The app tells you why: it reminds you of the accepted formats, or says the file is too large. In that case:
- save the file in a format from the list. Older Word (.doc) and PowerPoint (.ppt) formats are not accepted: convert them to .docx or .pptx first;
- for a PDF that is too long, import it in several parts, by page range;
- remove the protection from a password-protected PDF before importing it.

What about exports?#
Complement exports tracking data as CSV and, for a course generated by AI, the published course as a PDF. See Export a course's tracking data and Export a course as a PDF.
Complement does not export to SCORM or xAPI. A SCORM module can only be used as a source for AI generation. To offer your courses in an LMS, the integration uses LTI 1.3: see Connect your LMS with LTI 1.3.
